Our first holiday in North Carolina and Matt has to work. He will be home before too long we hope and then we can have a great family day. Levi is 8 months and 3 weeks old and a big baby who couldn't fit into the costumes they had because we shopped too late! I reluctantly bought the 6-9months size costume knowing it was too small, but hoping it would fit! Well, WAY, WAY too small! We altered it and it fits better so hopefully he will be the cutest lobster ever! And Bruce will be Snake Eyes-The G.I. Joe ninja! We aren't planning on trick-or-treating tonight like most people because one, it's raining (but hot) and two, our boys don't eat candy and we just moved here and don't really know our ways around. We are planning on going to the Fort Bragg Halloween carnival on post though! That way the boys can dress up and be cute without all of the candy. Lots of picture's to be taken also!
On another note, Matt went to his unit yesterday and is done with in-processing. Now his real job begins. He is happy about it and I am happy for him. Our lives have changed a lot in the past 3 years, but mostly for the better. Our little family is happy and healthy and blessed!

First Day
Matt signed in last night. He is at work now, after 3 weeks of having him constantly with me. I miss him already, but we all needed to get back into our routines. I finally decided to drive on post the other night alone. It is huge and confusing, but I remembered where the PX was and decided to go. I made it there without any problems and am now not scared of driving around post! I am a chicken when it comes to driving because I got my license at 20, instead of 16. And I basically taught myself how to drive.
The boys are doing well. Bruce is realizing that dad has to work again and will not be home constantly anymore. And Levi is cutting his teeth still (has been since he was 3 months old) and the symptoms are getting worse so hopefully they come in soon. Christmas time is coming up fast and we need to start shopping for presents soon. I love the time of the year right after Halloween!
We are so blessed in our lives and grateful for everything we have. God is so good and is watching over us at all times.

Growing Quickly
Bruce is getting so big. He tells us that he can't wait for kindergarten and homework! I guess we will just see about that! Levi is 8.5 months old and already trying to grow up! He pulls himself up to stand every chance he gets now! He hasn't braved up and let go yet, but we see that in the near future. Babies are suppossed to be babies, not big boys yet!!!! He walks (and fast) if you hold his hands now also. I think he wants to either A, run away from Bruce or B, pick on Bruce as much as he picks on him!
Bruce will be 5 after the start of the year! I cannot believe that he is so big and getting older! Levi will have his birthday exactly 2 weeks after Bruce's! This year has been terrific! We have had a lot of great things happen to us! Bruce loves to look out the window everytime we go out because of the all the military things to see! He is so fascinated and happy here! We visited Pope Air Force base a few days ago as well, and after seeing the big planes displayed after the gate he wants to be a pilot! haha.
Well, Matt hasn't signed in yet, but once he does I am sure I will have a lot of things to still learn and do! Life is great and we are in a really good place!

Moved...
We just moved from Missouri to North Carolina. We never thought the change would be so drastic! So far after a little over a week we like it here. Matt hasn't signed in to start working again yet, so we don't know how that is, but life on an Army post is already so different for me. Our kids love it here so far too. There is a park right outside of our backdoor and Bruce loves it! Levi is happy also because we have our stuff and he reconizes it. It is a different experience for me altogether though, because I have only been on an Army post a few times before moving to one! Grocery shopping is nice here since we don't pay taxes and the baggers take our stuff out for us and place it in our car! And I don't feel like an outsider because everyone is here for one reason or another (be it themselves, spouse, or parents).
