I can't believe that today Bruce is 5 years old. It has been a great 5 years. Time flies so much and I am glad that I take lots of pictures! I sang to him this morning and then said, you're 5 now. And he says, "Whoa, I'm 5? Really?" He couldn't believe it. And then he says, "so, do I start kindergarten now?" I told him not yet and he said, "but I'm 5 now!".
He is so excited to be 5. I am a little sad, where has the time gone? And in exactly 2 weeks I will be asking myself the same question again, because Levi will be 1. Bruce has decided to wait to open his presents until we pick up Lolli and Poppi tomorrow. He said that he wants people to watch since his dad can't be here. He is getting so big and I am so proud of how smart he is! And on a positive note, he has been not wanting to mind me for he past 2 weeks, but last night he turned completely around and started behaving again.
Here is a picture collage of Bruce from birth to 5 years:
God bless everyone and have great days. We continue to pray for those troops in Haiti and other countries.

Well,
I might as well update. The boys and I have been keeping ourselves busy. We went and picked up things we needed for the house at the PX last friday. Last saturday we went to the Fasinate You musuem with my newfound friend Nicole and her twin daughters. Bruce loved it! I took a ton of pictures and will post some later. Sunday we went and bought the birthday presnets for the boys. It was hard to sneak Bruce's gift without him knowing what it was, but I think I accomplished the task. Monday we just took a drive. Tuesday we met a group of Fort Bragg wives at Olive Garden (my favorite place to eat) to eat and talk and get to know each other better. That was really good to meet even more new people. Wednesday we planned to stay in the house, but Nicole called me and we met her and Katelyn and the twins at McDonalds to eat and play. Today was the first day we stayed at home in a week! It was good to get out everyday, but it was also nice to stay in for once. It rained all day today, and was in the 40's. All week before today it was in the upper 60's and 70's!
I have also learned that just about everything you hear being an Army wife regarding times and dates are rumors until they actually happen! I have heard so many that I have just stopped paying attention and I am trying to go with the flow.
Next week we have a very special 5th birthday to celebrate. The next day we have very special guests coming to stay a few days. Hopefully I am a good hostess! In 3 weeks from yesterday Levi will be the big 1!
That is all I really have to update for now. Pictures to come later. My prayers continue to go out to the troops in Haiti and the Haitian people. God Bless and have a good night/day!

Prayers
There is not a whole lot for me to update. An earthquake hit Haiti 3 days ago as everyone should know, so my prayers are going out to them and to the troops that are over there helping.
The weather is super warm today. We may go out to the park in a little while if the boys wake up in better moods! The are a little grumpy today, but I think they are both just very tired. Tomorrow morning we are going to meet my friend and her daughters at starbucks and go to a musuem. I'm excited to go somewhere new.
God bless you all. I would like to ask for you all to pray for Haiti and those troops that were sent as well.

Almost time...
Levi is now 11 months old! And, in just 17 days Bruce will be the big 5! I swear they are both getting bigger and accomplishing more things every single day. Levi started walking on January 4 and still crawls a little, but is realizing that since he can already walk it is faster to just do that sometimes. Bruce is starting to memorize words that he has spelled over and over, such as cat and dog. He also knows how to sound out more complicated things. He is writing like a champ now too! Still really big, but you can read it now! Levi also is a sneaky little boy! Last week he tried to drink some of mommies soda pop and managed a drink and then spilling the can all over his self before she could react! And just today he was playing in the living room with us and we started crawling away. I went after him because I don't want him in the kitchen alone and he was standing up with his brothers juice box (with a straw) drinking from it! I didn't even know he could drink out of a straw without help! He is so funny sometimes.
Matt is in the field. Not really a big deal, but the boys already miss him. Bruce understands a little, but Levi has no clue where his daddy is. When he gets back it will just about be Bruce's birthday and then time our first overnight house guest! We are all super excited for mom and dad to come visit us, even if Matt will be working half of the time.
This week should be fun for Antonia and the boys. We plan to go to Monkey Joes if we plan it out right and that will be fun for Bruce. The weather got colder, but we are supposed to have a warm up this week which is good so we can maybe play outside.
Hopefully everybody has a great week and a wonderful rest of the night. God bless and keep you.

Happy New Year!
It has been a week since the last update because we have been a little busy! We had to un-decorate the house for Christmas and put it back to normal! Then we are trying to rearrange the boys' bedroom to accomidate all of the toys and items they received for Christmas! And Matt went back to work this week and had to do two 24 hour days of duty. Not back to back, but only one day in between!
We are great! We rang in the new year asleep! We stayed up until 11pm and decided the new year will come whether we are awake or not, and we were tired! The boys went to bed well before then too! This month marks a birthday month for us. Bruce will be 5! He is very excited and confused! He thought that on his birthday he would get to start kindergarten and doesn't like the fact that he has to wait! We told him to remember wanting to go to school now, becasue he probably won't feel the same way in a few years!
The end of this month also marks our first overnight guest since moving here! We are so excited for them to come share an extended weekend with us to celebrate important birthdays! Bruce is excited because he thinks that Poppi and Lolli are coming on his birthday, not the day after! He will be surprised and happy!
Levi has 2 1/2 teeth now. The first top tooth is almost through, but not quite! And he has started to walk! He has been taking steps for about 3 weeks or so now, but is going further and further everyday. He was walking back and fourth today like a little pro!
2009 was a great and amazing year for us. A lot of good changes occured last year and we are hoping that 2010 will be just as great! God bless and we wish you all a happy, healthy and joyous new year!
