He loves it!

Bruce has only been to school for 2 days, but he loves it! We knew that he would, but there was a tiny part of me that wasn't quite sure. Yesterday morning and this morning he said, "Oh no, I am going to miss the bus!" We just laughed and said that there is no school today and you will go back Monday. He is very excited! The first day of school, when he got home, he couldn't remember anything! I think excitement took over his brain temporairily, but he did eventually remember. He did end up on the wrong school bus on his way home the first day, luckily he still made it home, but not without almost giving his mom a heart attack first! Now the bus driver remembers him and me, so I don't think that there will be anymore troubles with that.

We are hoping that this school year will be great! We are sure it will be. No homework the first few days, but he should start getting some tomorrow, and then we will see how that goes! Levi, on the otherhand, does not like that Bruce goes to school now. We are sure that once he gets used to it he will be ok, but right now he is just a bit of a grump.

We are all doing pretty well. This weekend has been relaxing and fun, and we are ready for the long weekend next week! God bless everybody and have a great rest of the weekend!

Here are a few more pictures of Bruce getting off of the shcool bus, Levi waiting for his brother and the boys being silly together!

First day of school!

This morning was Bruce's big day! His very first day of kindergarten! I woke him up at 6:40 (which he was already awake, waiting for me to get him up) and then I made breakfast for him and Levi. I got the boys dressed and ready and put Bruce in his "color of the day" colored shirt, which was brown today. And then we practiced counting while dad got ready to go. We got to school and waiting in the line of the other kindergarteners and parents and then proceeded to walk to his classroom. We dropped him off at the door, after taking some pictures. The teacher had a strict policy of dropping them off at the door and saying goodbye quickly in order to make a clean break, we weren't worried about Bruce being sad, because he was so ready for this!

Well, we weren't prepared for Levi to cry though! We turned to walk away and Levi sat down in the middle of the hall and started crying... Poor guy! Daddy picked him up and then mommy told him that bubba would be home later.

We will see how his first day went in just a few short hours! I am excited to see how it went!
God bless you all and have a great day!

I need to update more!

There isn't too much to update, but I do have a lot of pictures that I need to add!

This week, on Thursday, Bruce will start kindergarten! I can't believe how quickly kids grow up! It seems like just yesterday he turned 4 and then Levi was born! We packed his backpack last Thursday and it made him very happy! He was nervous at first, but after Dad and I talked to him about it he felt better! He thought that school was going to be all learning and that he could never play outside or do anything fun! We had to ease his fears and he is excited again!

We are not sure yet how Levi will react, since Bruce is his best friend right now, but we are sure that he will enjoy some "alone" time while bubba is in shcool. Every Wednesday is early out day, so I hope that I can remember the schedule! And Bruce has decided that he will be eating a PB&J everyday for lunch! I am sure he will get tired of that eventually (maybe)!

Matt is doing well! The Army is a never ending job, as he is always busy doing something! Whether it is schools or jumps or being in the field! From the time leave ended in mid-July until mid-August he was in the field for 3 out of 4 weeks and the other week he was in PA for a funeral duty. The boys are starting to realize that although dad isn't always home to tuck them in at night, that he can still be a part of the nightly routine, which will help when he does get deployed.

I am pretty great also! I have just been getting ready for the fall/winter time and school starting. I also have been thinking about Christms presents already (I know it is early, but it never really is too early)! I have decided that I am going to sign up to be a class room helper and other things for Bruce's school, such as the PTO! I am looking forward to this! And I have also been in the process of signing myself up for school! I have been out of school for over 6 years already, but I am ready to get back into and do some online schooling for a while!

God Bless and have a great night/day/week!
