October!

God is so good. We have had such hot temperatures and such a dry spell here that we have all been praying for rain and cooler weather. Well, last week we had 5 days of rain and it was such a blessing, and then on top of that we have had temperatures in the 60's! It feels so great here and it is finally feeling like fall and not summer!

My parents came to visit this past weekend and we had a pretty decent time. I got to go shopping for 2 days in a row without having to drag Matt along! We made delecious food and Bruce and Levi entertained us all! All in all the weekend was pretty good.

Bruce seems to be getting more and more homework each week! He has half an hour of homework a night, but he enjoys it so it isn't too bad! He is making more friends and remembering their names now instead of just the color of clothes they wear! His reading is getting pretty great too. When we read him a book, he reads the words; a, the, am, I & little. We are so proud of him, but he growing up a little too quickly for us at times!

Levi is our ornery one! He is so lovable though, so that makes up for it. Levi has been a climber for a while now, but now he is climbing more often and on everything! On top of that, just today, I laid him down for his nap and 15 minutes later he comes walking into the living room! Which means he is now opening our doors! We weren't ready for him to start doing that yet! Oh yeah, and he can use our iPhones too. He slides his finer across to unlock it and turns on the music...

Matt is doing pretty good. Working a lot, and taking classes on new things al of the time. The rest of this year he will be home a normal amount of time, just a few weeks in the field here and there and a JFEX, but next year he will be gone a ton with training and other classes. But, it is all a part of the Military life style.

Everyday is filled with something. Levi and I have playdates at least once or twice a week. We went to Barnes and Noble last week, and he had such a wonderful time with all of the books and toys there, and of course the kids! He has 2 friends that he plays with the most, MaKaylie and Mia. He really enjoys playing with other kids closer to his age sometimes!I have a doctors appointment this Wednesday and next Monday. We know that God is watching over us and that everything will turn out to be fine.

God bless everyone and have a great week!
